Am seeking documentation on John Wood (abt 1759-1808) and his son William. John2, son on John, died in Clermont, Ohio. William died in Edgar, Illinois. John1 died in Derry, Mifflin, PA in 1799. He had several pieces of property that his son sold after his death. William and John 2 were born Mifflin. Brothers to John2 are: Joseph, Jerriah, David, and Absalom. There is no wife's name for John 1. Daughters are: Cathrine, Jean, Elizabeth, Martha, Mary, Jean Anar and John Anar (husband and wife) Exec. John Woods, son and Elisha Manning. Several of these children married children of Nathan Manning. John2 wife's name was Margaret. John2 & Margaret probably married in 1783 in Mifflin. "John Wood was an associate judge in early Clermont County. He took ill at a court session in the then county seat of Williamsburgh, rode home and died the next day at his home near Neville, in Washington Twp. He was responsible for starting the first school in southern Clermont County, for the education of his children and those of the neighbors.
