Good Mornin' Fellow Listers: Just got word from Terry Wheeler of the Juniata County Historical Society that they are having another bus trip to Washington D.C. on Wednesday, October 22nd. Cost is generally $40 per person but they are still waiting for the quote from the bus company - which probably will be in August. The usual drop-offs are at the D.A.R. and at the National Archives... but you can use this as a sight-seeing day also. There are at least two pickup points: 1. Mifflintown, Juniata Co., PA. 2. Boscov's Mall, Camphill, Cumberland Co., PA. at 7:00 a.m. Eats are "on your own" while in Washington and also on the return trip. The bus usually stops at Mountain Gate Family Restaurant where their food is delicious and they have a smorgasbord. The cost for the evening meal usually runs around $13 for the smorgasbord (drink, tax and tip included) - however with the ever rising costs of everything else, this may also run more. The deadline for seats and money is normally one month prior to the date. For more information you can contact Terry Wheeler at his personal e-mail address: tlw1940@pa.net or through the Juniata County Historical Society's e-mail address: jchs1931@pa.net
