Nor is there any other name beginning with "Hope..." listed for Mifflin or mother Cumberland Counties in these same publications. You might want to contact the Mifflin Co. Historical Society (E-mail: mchistory@verizon.net ) to ask if there was any place named "Hope" in 1840 that no longer goes by that name.
