I have the marriage(copy from family bible)of Mitchell Riden (changed his first Christian name to Mitchell...too many Samuels) but his name was Samuel Mitchell Riden, married May Henery, not MARY HENRY as a relative did, in 1861.That's the date, 12 September 1861. They had 8 children, my grandfather, Howard Hudson, being the youngest. You've really given me much more info than I had, especially on the Hoovers. I/we can't find Elizabeth V. (Riden) Hoover in any of the cemeteries, Mifflin County, PA The children of Mitchell and May (some aren't spelled correctly in GenForum), so I'll list them for you and others. 1:Adam David 10 March 1862 2:Lou Emma 29 April 1863 3:Elizabeth Virginia 8 September 1864 4:John 29 July 1866 5:Hester Ann 17 April 1869 6:William 14 May 1871 7:Charles Franklin 31 January 1874 8:Howard Hudson 3 November 1875 I never found the husband, if she had one, of Adeline S. Hoover, b. 1836/7. There is this: Lewis is only mentioned in the Mifflin County History as an MD. As it say's he died in 1854. I do see where she was a widow, but no mention of whom she was married to. I have the priveledge of being able to go to the store, Milroy, PA, Armagh Twp. to see some items they have when The "Hoover Brothers" sent for a brochure to learn the hardware business. This building, I have the years, was a Methodist Church, the a building of mercantile, the a regular Hardware Store, in which it is this day, 4 April 2008. Much appreciated, Sue... May God Bless! dls Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
