I have info from John Conkey downstream to the present. I am in contact with the family members who posted the info you mention. It is upstream from John Conkey past his marriage with Mary Isaacs that I am stuck. I can't find anything about his parents or other family. If he iss the full-blooded Native American, who is the Gilmore or Conkey whose names he adopted? We have a lot of speculation & a lot of "family history," but no real evidence about him. He must have been an unusual man and certainly was a pioneer, but.... I hope we can all keep looking and find some answers. I love this stuff.
