    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Lyons, Baptist(e), Criswell, Forsythe, Heck Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/AcB.2ACE/1282.7.1.2.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: I'm not sure if she was white or not. She married a John Baptist or Baptiste who I've heard was a minister but that is only oral history. I believe he may have been black or mixed, not sure. Julia's daughter, Harriet Baptiste, is listed as Mulatto but I'm not sure if it comes from her mother or father. Harriet married John Lyons, son of James Levi Lyons, and he was listed as black though he "passed for white" around 1918. Thanks for any help you can give on this. Rose Mary
