    1. Greenwood, Juniata
    2. My apologies because I have asked this question before, but I am still very confused as to how to obtain the info I need. I want to know (1) How John R. Ferguson aquired the property that he lived on in 1850 in Greenwood twp, Juniata Co. His PA ancestors still live on the property. I believe that he inherited the land that may have been deeded when Greewood was part of Mifflin. The address is now RR1 Thompsontown PA 17094 (2) who owned the property in 1807 It is my belief that John Ferguoson inherited the land btw 1850 and 1860. However, I don't know if it was through the death of his father, a relative or if he bought it. One reason for my confusion is where some of my info came from. e.g. I was told there is a book of early land surveys in Juniata County archives, there is an 1807 survey of two tracts of land to the heirs of Jos. Ferguson in right of Ferguson v. Leech c. As we know, Greenwood, Juniata was part of Mifflin at that time and not Juniata so I just don't know where to begin to find proof of this document. Also: He cites a legal document dated 1807 regarding a land warrant dated 1792 as proof that Joseph Ferguson owned land in Greenwood Twp., Juniata Co.: 98a.105 - "Heirs of FERGUSON in right of Ferguson v. Leech c" Surveyed 15 & 16 June 1807 "Draught of part of a survey made on two warrants to Jos. Ferguson & <unreadable>. The above is that part belonging to the heirs of Ferguson. One is for 160 acres & the other for 40, dated 11th August 1792." Thank you for any suggestons Moria
