Hi Ronald - I am a descendant of some of the Kauffmans from Mifflin County. My great great grandmother Elizabeth, or Lizzie, (1810-1880) married a Jonas Botteicher or Potteiger. I have never been able to discover who her parents were. I believe they all migrated from the eastern part of the state about 1835. Maybe you have come across her in your travels! Also, if I can help you in any way, I would be glad to! Also, a couple of the Botteichers married Millers, and you have Mashman in your e-mail. Is that a typo? I have some Marchmans or Marshmans in the connection too. Interesting! It is very interesting. I have seen the Mashman name listed as Marshman also. I wonder if there is some kind of connection somewhere down the line?
