    3. I am looking for someone to locate two gravesites and take pictures of the tombstones of: John Allen, Revolutionary War soldier, with the old stone, foot marker, new stone and Betsy Ross flag located in the orchard of John Allen's farm, now owned by James and Andrew Stewart of McVeytown, Pennsylvania. The old stone reads "John Allen died Sept. 1805 Aged 58 yrs. For many years a resident of this Township. The new stone inscription 1747 John Allen 1805, 5th & 8th Battalions Cumberland County 1777 Militia 1782 Revolutionary War' Margaret Ann Allen located in Presbyterian Church Cemetery, McVeytown, Pennsylvania. Stone reads 'died June 25, 1845 Aged 78 yrs. 9 mo.' This inforamtion was taken from a book titled "Hahnewald - 'cock of the woods' " by Pearl Etta Turner Hanawalt. I do not have a print date for the book so the reference to the Stewarts owning the original homestead of John Allen may not be current. There was an article in "The Sentinel, Lewsitown, Pennsylvania" newspaper dated Monday June 1, 1959 regarding the new tombstone of John. Any help would be appreciated and I am willing to pay for time and expense incurred. Thank you in advance. Larry Allen 4th great grandson of John Allen
