I was a little surprised to see that you mentioned children of William Armstrong and Rebecca and stated that Plunket was his grandson. I would appreciate more information about how you determined that Plunket was his grandson. Everything I have read previously indicated that William and Rebecca had no children. Re Rebecca's maiden name--have you ruled out McCord? Re Sarah Armstrong--I do not think she was related to this family of Armstrongs. All of these Armstrongs came from Enniskellen (sp?), Fermanagh, Ireland. Plunket, by the way, married Margaret Lyon. His brother, William Armstrong (the third?), married Rebecca Armstrong from Delaware, a niece of General John Armstrong.
