There was a Diffenderfer married into one of my lines, and he lived in Altoona for a while, but his name was Henry. I traced the family a bit just out of curiosity and to help a distant cousin, and found that most of the Diffenderfers (spelled an extraordinary number of ways!) were from Lehigh county. You might want to post your info to the Lehigh list, too, if nobody subbed to the Mifflin list can identify the family.
