Judy, I have a Henry (Harry) Diffenderfer in my family tree. He was born abt 1860 in PA, and burned to death in Colorado. He was the son of Samuel and Mary (Kimberly) Diffenderfer of Allensville,Mifflin Co., PA. Samuel Diffenderfer was a brother to Aaron Diffenderfer (my gr.gr.grandfather). Their parents were Stephen and Rachel (Lockman) Diffenderfer. Could this be the same Henry in your line? I traced the family a bit just out of curiosity and to help a distant cousin, and found that most of the Diffenderfers (spelled an extraordinary number of ways!) were from Lehigh county. You might want to post your info to the Lehigh list, too, if nobody subbed to the Mifflin list can identify the family.
