I’m not researching Harris, but I have a deed transferring land in Milford Township (then Mifflin County, now Juniata County) from my ancestor James Huddleston to his son-in-law William Hudelson on 27 Oct 1795. The land is described as follows: “a parcel of land situate lying and being in Millford Township and county aforesaid, whereon now Thomas Harris livith adjoining lands of John Harris on the North, James Bogs on the east Francis Ennis Theophelus. McDonald and Jonathan Steward James Mackey on the east on the south the water, containing forty seven acres and one half acre, Reserving the water and water houses from the stone Bride for the use of James Mackey…” This appears to be the same land described in a 30 March 1807 transaction between William Hudelson and a certain Joseph Beale, as follows: “situate in Millford Township in the County of Mifflin and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Beginning at a (word illegible) at Tuscarora Creek, thence by Vacant Hills south sixty two degrees and eight perches to a white oak north thirty four degrees East, thence to a White oak North Sixteen degrees West twenty Six perches to a maple Twenty degrees East forty perches to a White Oak South (forty?) two degrees and Eight perches to a White Oak North Thirty four degrees East, thence to a White Oak North Sixteen degrees West twenty Six perches to a maple Twenty degrees East forty perches to a White Oak South …. Two degrees by eight perches to a White oak north , south forty three degrees east twenty perches to a Black Oak. North East eighteen perches to an hickory at said…. Thence … the same by the several courses thereof three hundred and seven perches to the Beginning.” Perhaps either this John Harris or this Thomas Harris may be of interest to you.
