Anyone researching this family? 1900 Census for Lewistown, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania Margrett (sic) Brooks, 64 George F. Brooks, 43 John A. Brooks, 28 Maggie T. Brooks, 23 The family lives on Water Street. I'm interested in John A. Wondering if he is the future husband of my Ella Kline. I'm also trying to find where he and Ella are buried. I've been told that they were buried at Lawvers, but I don't see them listed in Mr. Morgan's book. Would really love to find a date of death for Ella to get her obit. She died after Dec. 1929. This John, if I have the right guy, would have been her second husband. First husband's name is unknown. Any information appreciated. Thanks! Melissa F. Kline Cecil County, Maryland
I've just finished updating all of my files. Wanted to send these names out to see if anyone might have a connection. This is as far back as I can go with these lines. IOOF is the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. The B of RT is the Brotherhood of (sometimes seen called Railway) Railroad Trainmen. Hi Bea, I've been told that Lillian Pennybaker (a Huffnagle daughter) is buried there with her husband. She was born in 1901. Don't know her date of death or her husband's name. Also, an Anna Huffnagle is supposed to be buried there. She died in 1947. She's a Huffnagle by marriage. Not sure of her date of birth. And, there may be a Percy Huffnagle buried there as well. No dates on him at all. Hi Bea, Thanks for checking on this for me. Yes, John D. was married twice. First to Florence. Then to Carrie, after Florence's death. What's got me stumped is that some folks on ancestry.com have Florence listed as Florence Rager. So, I'm wondering if maybe Florence was married twice. First to a Faux, then to a Huffnagle. Rager could be the maiden name??? Something to work on. Thanks for the info.
