I could be wrong, but it looks more like Meadville, Crawford County, Pennsylvania to me. Back then, we had two hospitals in Meadville, Spencer Hospital and City Hospital and I'm pretty sure there is a Greenwood Cemetery in Greenwood Township, Crawford County. Lots of Williams were from Greenwood Twp. area. If this person did die at the City hospital in Meadville, you can probably get a copy of the death record from the City Building on Market St., Meadville, PA 16335 Did any of your Williams have connections to Crawford County??? I have some Williams on my father's side of the family, but they were from Vernon Twp, Crawford County and I don't think they were connected to the Greenwood Twp ones. I also have some Williams/Yothers on my mother's side of the family from Huston Twp, Centre Co., Pa. Sherry Shallenberger

Anna Verona Ramer married Charles M. Smithers, who I believe was the son of George Smithers. They were legal guardians of my grandfather, Lynne Oliver Ramer, after the death of Lynne's mother Esther Mae Ramer and grandmother Rachel Barbara Reed Ramer, wife of Joseph Ramer. Rachel and Joseph's daughters Anna Ramer Smithers and Carrie Ramer Bobb took care of my grandfather after age 9. If you look at my family tree at ancestry.com you will find photographs of 'Aunt Annie' and 'Uncle Charlie." Charlie encouraged my grandfather's education. He would reward 'Lynnie' for memorizing the state capitals, counties of Pennsylvania, and other things. He bought Gramps his first long pants. Gramps took his family to visit Aunt Annie and Uncle Charlie and also Aunt Carrie Bobb (who I met when a child). Anna was born 4/21/1872 and died on 11/8/1949. Charles was born 10/17/1873 and died 10/24/1950. Their children are also on my family tree. Best wishes, Nancy Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. His second wife, Magdalena Senninger (possibly nee Fogel) came over with her family incl. son Roman. Roman, later in life went by the Anglicized "Bird", from the German "Fogel", as well as occasionally "dunn" from his step family. oman did meet his wife Carrie Fortney, and they lived in Reedsville.
