Hi, I have a Lydia ERNEST b. Feb. 20, 1841 in Juniata Co. She was the daughter of Jacob ERNEST and Maria LYTER. I do not have any further information about her. Could she be your Lydia? Daughter of William Reed. Married about 1831 to Samuel Strong (b. 20 March 1824) some records give birth is 1830 (incorrect). Nancy died 28 Oct 1899, Potter Township, Centre County. Children: John Reed Strong B. June 1856 M. Virginia mary McElroy Rebecca J. Strong b. 1860 (no further information. Isiah B. Strong b. July 1859 Armagh Township, Mifflin Co. appears in 1860 census. Died before 1899. William F. Strong b. May 1861 Susanna Catharine Strong b. Oct 1862, Armagh Township, Married William Horton Fultz - see earlier posts Mary Strong B. 1863 Mkary Martha Strong b. 1866. married Oscar Walters. (may be same person as above). Fanny E. Strong (Frances?) b. 1877. When researching Strongs in Mifflin County it should be noted that there were two different Strong Families in this area about 1820, both heads of household were Samuel. This Strong Family came to Mifflin from Centre and resided in Mifflin Township. The other was in Mifflin in 1820 but left prior to 1830. The first Samuel's wife was Eunice. This Samuel was the son of Samuel Strong and Sarah Strunk. I corresponded with a member of the "first" family some 35 years ago but have been unable to contact them recently.
