Mona, Is/was the park along the Kish Creek ? Isn't there any signs of what used to be there? Nothing left of the Park to show that it was once there? Someone asked if anyone knew when the KVHS website might be up. It is being worked on (for free) and it is not known when it might be ready. --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Search presents - Jib Jab's 'Second Term'
Gibboney Park "was" located on Apple House Road in Belleville. It is no longer there. You might try contacting Ron Wilson (717) 667-6239. He has a lot to do with the MCHS. I believe he also has much info on the FULTZ/FOLTZ connections. My husband's step-grandparents were YOUNG-FULTZ but I don't have all that info and couldn't identify many of them anyway. --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! (The old pavillion is in the backround, and the boys are holding a banner that says "1908.") I easily found my grandmother, Grace Fultz Stell, her parents: Charles and Elsie Bordell Fultz, and Charlie's parents: David and Catherine Christina "Katie" Leightle. I addition, I have an original August 1910 Fultz/Foltz reunion photo with the same folks (and then some.) I know the date is correct because I have a "4 generation" picture of them (Grace holding her baby, Clinton, with both her parents and Charlie's parents) that had to have been taken that day (they're wearing the exact same clothes!) I'd love some help identifying the other "cousins." Anyone interested, please e-mail me, Maureen
Bea, I would guess Dan McClenahan or Forrest Kauffman could locate it for you. Do not believe you would find it available now. Not sure about that. From looking at the various censuses in Mifflin county, Ivy was one of 16 children born to David V. and Catharine Fultz of Armagh twp, Mifflin, Pa. She was married to William H. Conway in the 1920 census (she was 33 and he was 29). He was born in England and they were living with the widowed mother of Ivy (Catherine). By the 1930 census, Ivy is divorced and doesn't appear to have had any children. I would suspect that perhaps your Grace was a 'good friend' and was perhaps the executrix or was Grace mentioned in the will which would account for her having a copy of it. As Ivy was the 14th of th 16 children born, she may have been the only surviving sibling of the group.

Hello, Boy, this fellow Houser had quite a family, bigger than most. Was windering if you had any more info on the LEPLEY line like where Mary was born and who her parents were. I hail from the Snyder & Union Co. area in Pa. and I find that a lot of those people migrated to Ohio. Forgot to add a question: Do you think it just might be that rather than a rush to publish, people are genuinely interested in helping others with genealogical searches? And is it not possible that having the data online is much better than not seeing it at all, even if it does contain errors? It probably is one of the better ways to get this info corrected, in my oldster opinion. Jess Davis -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. What law are you suggesting or were you just joking? I think this discussion started with not being able to find a cemetery. Then a statement about a wrong date from a tombstone. Hope you contacted the list owner and asked to have it corrected. You could even be a contributor for that cemetery to the USGenWeb archives project where you could submit the data and keep it up to date for new intermets. Newer cemeteries are pretty well documented by the owners but it sure is hard to find some of these OLD ones. Some even being just in a corner of a farm field or worse. And, the old tombstones have deteoriated to the point where not only dates but even names may be next to impossible to read. Our experience has been also that some well documented plot plans leave it difficult to locate some of the graves. Thanks for the information from all of us, Mona. It was nice of you to call and get that info. I'll make a note of the winter closing and the hours on the Mifflin USGenWeb page. Did you happen to discuss their web site, and did they say when that might be online?
