It is open to the public Tuesday through Friday, 10 AM to 4:30 PM and Saturday 10 AM to 3 PM. It is closed Sundays, Mondays and holidays. The Research Library's resources include numerous collections, guides, abstractions and records gathered together for those interested in Mercer County history. Many resources have genealogical applications and other collections relate to the Civil War, Dr. John Goodsell's North Pole experiences and other areas related to local history research.
