Hi, folks. I'm the new guy on the list. I live in the Philadelphia suburbs and have just retired from 30 yrs of teaching history in a public high school. I've been doing family genealogy since 1982 and professional work since 1987 which I will pursue full time from now on. My father-in-law has extensive Mercer, Lawrence and Erie ancestry. I'm interested in exchanging with any one on these families. Some dates are approximations: 1. Robert Arlyn MERCER (Uniontown, 1920) 2. Robert Arlyn MERCER (Wilmington Twp., 1895-1935) 3. Victoria Coydon RICE (Pottsville, 1894-1978) 4. William Lyle MERCER (Wilmington Twp., 1847-1897) 5. Iris Elvira JUNKIN (Lawrence co, 1861-1914) 6. James E. RICE (Sharon, 1863-1899) 7. Margaretta Pitman BECK (Pottsville, 1864-1896) 8. William MERCER Jr. (Wilmington Twp., 1821-1871) 9. Sarah A. MOORE (PA, 1817-1888 Wilmington Twp) 10. William W. JUNKIN (Mercer co, 1841-1864 Libby Prison, VA) 11. Nancy J. ZUVER (PA, 1826-1910 Sharon) 12. Charles Billings Marion RICE (Erie Co., 1838-1898 Sharon) 13. Jane MOORE (1789-1871) 18. William MOORE, brother of #17 (-1834) parents are James MOORE and Mary LYLE 19. Ann HERRON (1782-1841) 20. William Findley JUNKIN (1799-1868) 21. Eliza(beth?) Adams (1804-1868) 22. Andrew ZUVER (1788-1845) 23. Rebecca __________ (1786-1855) 24. Erwin RICE (VT, 1803-1860 Erie Co) 25. Diadema BISHOP 26. John OFFUTT Jr. (1801-1879) 27. Margaret Patterson (ca 1797-1878) 28.-30. known 44. George ZUVER 45. Elizabeth EMERY/EMBRY I've done a lot of research on the Mercers, Junkins, Offutts and Zuvers but there are still many loose ends. The big question is - are my wife's Mercers related to the General? We have always wondered why they went to Mercer Co in 1800. Henry did buy Donation Land tract #63 from a veteran. We have no other evidence. Looking forward to mutual assistance. Tim Coyne
