So, what's going on at the Mercer County site? www.rootsweb.com/~pamercer We've experienced a few system problems and server problems in the past week or so. If you've tried us and were unable to get into the site, try us again. Everything should work now. (should - being the big word here). Some of you were wondering (OK, about 30 of you were wondering) - what's up with the military section. The page says it's open... but then it says "page not found". Well, that's fixed, too. Please check out the military section and tell me what you think. You may have some ideas or suggestions of Military Web Pages we need to add! Also, look at the rosters of Mercer County soldiers for the various wars. There's even a place for you to add your own Mercer County "Ancestral Heroes". So go through the scrapbooks and the family files and send the on in! We'd love to catalogue every soldier from Mercer County. (A note here, please protect the privacy of living individuals.) Bye the way, we're a little light on the World War I and the Spanish American War, we REALLY need your ancestors from those wars. We keep growing and growing. At last count, the Mercer County site consisted of 854 pages! In the past two months since the new pages have been up, the Mercer County home page has been opened 9200 times! Along with growth, comes change.... I added a cover page to the site. You'll see it. It's the first page when you go to www.rootsweb.com/~pamercer. Just click...and you'll be at the Mercer County home page. If you'd like to bypass the cover page - - - and you have us "bookmarked" (added to favorites in AOL and Internet explorer), click on you old bookmark (favorite, etc.), and the click. Now re-bookmark (or click on the heart in AOL) to add us to favorites again.
