My surname for Mercer Co Pa is MAHAN apparently the first one was William Mahan whose son James m. a woman named Jane there first 2 sons William and James were born in Mercer Co Pa in 1810 and 1811 but have never found a marriage record for James and Jane If anyone had a marriage book would love to find the date of marriage and last name for Jane They must have married around 1808 or 1809 tho some fellow researchers seem to think there was another daughter before William But have no proof. gkile@semo.net
