Mike -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello, Friend, I live on a farm in Mercer County which, I found after an agonizing search in the courthouse, was awarded to Pvt. William Griffey after the Revolutionary War in about 1780 or so. I searched for the subsequent owners over the next years, but just couldn't figure out how to do it. My parents, Adrien and Charlotte Adelman, owned it when I was a child, and then my sister, Annette Antoun, got it. I would like to write a book about it and the area, as historically accurate as I can, but I need to get information about the people and the area (French Creek Twp.). If you could aim me in the right direction, I would be very happy. I'm semi-retired, but I never seem to get to do this, and I want to, very badly. My email address is mprather@toolcity.net.
