Hello list members, I appreciate the kind comments I've received regarding the 1870 census transcriptions. I have also received a few requests to search for specific surnames in the indexes - I only wish I had the time to do that, but because of time constraints, I'm afraid I cannot. The "index" has been set up to allow searching for specific surnames as easy as possible. I regret that I cannot do the search for you but encourage you to ask for the indexes - they are not too large and easily fit within an e-mail message.
