Family stories say that my girlfriends great grandmother (maiden name unknown, married name TAIT or TATE) was murdered in Sharpsville by Goose's Store approx. 1908 or 1909. She had at least one son, Merle about age 7 at the time, who later took the name Sloan. It is not known if he was taken in by a family member or adapted by a SLOAN family. Does anything sound familiar? Any help would be appreciated. Dan Lanter d_lanter@yahoo.com or rb@navix.net
