Thanks for the info Norma. I DID find Margaret Clark's grave. It is next to her husband's mother and father in another cemetary. My Dad's Cousin, Mary Lois Grantham, had the info. Also used familysearch.org to get the Clarks back another generation! The red brick house is not the original homestead. That was a log home structure on the Sharon/Mercer Road, of which little remains back in the woods. I WOULD love to have a photo of the red brick house though! Tried to find it once, but it was too cold.I have some outside family photos from Mercer I'd like to identify with the house. Robert Clark McWhirter, son of John and Margaret (Clark) McW, was my great grandfather...I never got to meet him. What was he like?? I have photos of the family I could show you if you'd like to see them. My Grandfather was Robert and Mary Jane's son Edward, the baby. Edward and his wife had one son, John. I am the eldest daughter, Amy McWhirter Hutton, b. 1947. As for Wm S McW---I think Carol Ann Senior is their descendent. Her mother still lives in Mercer.
