    3. Dear Linda, We found connections between you and my husband's ancestors in Mercer County (the Barnes and Montgomery); now we have found a common ancestral surname between my ancestors in Armstrong and Clarion County and yours. A stretch, but my information: Rachel Cochran 1772-1851 lived in Piney Township, Armstrong County (Clarion County after 1839), daughter of Alexander Cochran b. 1733 in Ireland and Agnes ? It seems interesting that all of my husband's ancestors from Mercer County and the Cochrans came from Ireland. You never know when someone on a list will see a familiar name & have more information, so My line: Rachel Cochran m. Andrew Magee Rachel Magee m. Ira Scott Nancy Scott m. Levi Boyer Wm A Boyer m. Alice Adams Wm A Boyer m. Maysie Rush O. Dale Boyer m. Martha Hendrick Sandra Boyer m. Robert Barnes All are from Clarion/Armstrong County but mom. The Hendrick is a SW VA Blue Ridge Mountain family.
