    3. Researching my GOUGH family-it was spelled GOFF in the 1860 and 1870 census records for Mercer. James GOUGH emmigrated from Monaghan, IRE in 1850 to NY and then to Mercer. He married Mary WHEELER(dau of Cyrus) in 1853. Their children were Margaret, James, John, Isaac, William, Samuel, (Phillip and Martha-b and d in MERCER) and Mary. It is family hearsay that a sister came at the same time from IRE. I think his father, John arrived after 1858 and before 1860 with a second wife and other siblings-Robert, Sarah, Samuel. Possibly John and also Margaret are other siblings. Other related Mercer lines are BUCKLEY, WHEELER, STEIN, THOMPSON.....They moved to Fillmore Co., MN in 1876 and then to Miner Co., SD in 1882. Any help, lookups or info would be greatly appreciated and gladly reciprocated-Pamela, Oshkosh WI
