The main cemetery I know of in Sharon is the Oakwood Cemetery on Oakland Avenue. It is a beautiful old cemetery with many mausoleums of the older Sharon families. It is still in use. The problem I always have is it so large that I have difficulty finding my family plots. My uncle tells a story of watching funeral processions on Oakland Ave. when he was a child in the 20s. The one that impressed him the most was a gypsy funeral procession. Does any one recall this? JLL
