Hi all, As a follow-up to my last message, I wanted to thank those that let me know that there is no Butler, Mercer County. I did know that at one time, but had forgotten and also neglected to say in my post that the biographical sketch done by my gggrandfather may have been wrong, but I have no way to know for sure. There are many ways to read what is in that document. I took "settled near Butler, Mercer County, PA" to mean that they settled near Butler, BUT in Mercer County. For all I know Butler might have been the only sizable town in the area at that time and hence they used it as a reference. I may be wrong but in any case I thought it was worth asking you good people if you might have any knowledge of an Alexander family in that time frame, in Mercer County.
