Nancy, I have the same family -- James Collins Jewell -- as his mother (James Senior) was Nancy Caroline Moore. Her mother was a Dean, the name I am researching. I have a different birth order -- I have James (Jr.) as the youngest. I don't remember where I got that. Maybe a census. I'll have to check my notes.
