I hit > a wall with them. > Hi Laura: I know nothing about your Alma Isabel Hoobler, but I am descended from Caleb Hoobler who immigrated from Germany c. 1770 and settled in Salem or Sugar Grove Twp. of Mercer Co., PA; and from his second son, Jacob Hoobler and Jacob's daughter, Martha Hoobler who married first Robert Donley and secondly Samuel Drake. Robert Donley ran off to CA in the 1849 gold rush and abandoned his wife and four children. Donley and Drake both lived in Plain Grove, Lawrence Co., PA Biographies of the first two Hooblers are listed in the 1888 History of Mercer Co. How are you related to these early families?
