IT WAS THE GREAT FLOOD OF JOHNSTOWN, PA, not Jamestown! As to the "river" I think that it was probably the CANAL that went through there.....Maybe I am wrong but I always thought that Jamestown was still inside the Mercer County line. Too late to look it up right now but will double check in a.m. and post that info then. But, yes, Jamestown is at the intersection of 322 and 58.
