So many of you have written to tell me congratulations on my new position as Mercer County Coordinator. All of your warm wishes have made me feel welcome! I am in the progress of creating new Mercer County Genealogy pages. Most of the old material will be returning - some with a different look. They'll be some new features and links, including a section devoted to old photos - family, buildings, etc. - from Mercer County. Start looking through your scrapbooks, photo albums and shoe boxes now for the photos you want to have included on the pages! As I'm updating, I notice that there are outdated e-mail addresses in the Old Queries section. Please look at the section and double check your e-mail address. If yours is incorrect, please e-mail me so we'll have current information. I'm looking also for a cemetery list for Mercer County. I saw one once on the internet, but can't locate it now. Does anyone out there have one? Please feel free to send me your comments and suggestions and favorite links you'd like to see added. If you like them, most likely, I will, too. And, now a little bit about me. My mother's family lived and lives in Mercer County, mostly in the Sharpsville - Sharon area. My grandfather, Dutch Rapp, was the fire chief in Sharpsville for many years. We are related to the Carrs, Scotts, Myers and Moores as well as, a few dozen other surnames in Mercer County.
