The new Mercer County Genealogy pages are up and running. Thank you to those who spotted a bad link or a floating picture and helped me fix the bugs. If you haven't seen the pages yet, take a look. We've changed a few things and added some new features: - Like a link to Ed Mc Clelland's Mercer County Township maps. If you haven't used his maps yet, you really should check them out. There's a link on the Maps page. - Also 1901 maps of Sharon, Sharpsville and Grove City. These have the look and feel of a postcard, but you can zoom in and out on them. You'll find links on the maps page. - Mercer County people. A listing of people with connections to Mercer County; each name is a link to a web page with more information about that person. Compiled from homepages at AOL, Geocities, and many others. - Online Obituaries. A list of Mercer County folks whose full obituary is somewhere on the internet (and of course, a link to the obituary). Check out the Obituaries page. And there are more good things to come - - - Mercer County Old Photos is just about ready to upload (this weekend). I received some great photos from Brent Morgan and Diane Knuckey. Start looking through your closets and shoe boxes; I know you'll have photos you want to add. - Military Information is also in the works. I am gathering information and links on the Civil War, Revolutionary War, World War I and II and Korea. If you have suggestions, materials, photos, links, or ideas please let me know. - Townships. I am working on a page for each of the Mercer County townships - including photos, histories, etc. If you have ANYTHING we can use here, please e-mail me. I'd like to have current photo of something (a landmark, building, etc.) in each township. So, if you live in Mercer County (or visit there) and own a camera.... Remember, these are your pages. I'm just helping them along. As always, I welcome you suggestions and ideas. Teri Mercer County Coordinator
