Looking for any info on McCune, McWhirter or Thompson. McCune and McWhirter came from N. Ireland in 1822. Thompson came over earlier. There may have been McWhirters and McCunes in the area earlier also. Fact: Our John McWhirter, b. 1809 N. Ireland, told his daughter that his father's family had come to the area following recommendations from his cousin who married a Thompson and came earlier. Need to find this Thompson to make a big connection to Scotland in 1600's. Theory: Mary McCune McWhirter may have had relatives who moved to the area after they did ( 1822) Amy McWhirter Hutton
