I've "rescued" an old marriage certificate including photograph of the bride and groom which originally belonged to Wilson ADAMS of Heath, Pennsylvania and Olive HOOVER of Millstone, Pennsylvania. The couple was married in Springcreek, PA on the 22nd of August 1875. Olive's photograph was taken in 1872 at the Frank Robbins Studio in Oil City, PA with Olive appearing to be in her teens at the time. The photograph of Wilson is a tin type photograph probably taken in the 1860's or 1870's with Wilson looking to be in his 20's or 30's at the time. Based on limited research I find Olive HOOVER b. in Mercer Co., PA to parents Isiah HOOVER and Mary SCRIBNER. I also find J.W. & Olive ADAMS living in Allegheny, PA during the 1880 census. In 1880 the ADAMS household included, J.W. (wondering if he is actually John Wilson ADAMS) age 24, Olive age 22, sons John age 4, and George age 1, and Matilda ADAMS age 54, J.W.'s Mother. All were born in PA to parents born in PA. I'm hoping to locate someone from this family so that this wonderful old treasure can be returned to the care of family. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley
