Looking for the maiden name of the wife of Lemuel Clark (Clarke) was was b 1798 in CT, to Giles and Eliphal Johnson Clark. Lemuel married his wife Elizabeth on 12 July 1813 (no exact proof of the date-came from someone's files) in Trumbull County, OH. He died 1844 and is buried next to his wife in the Sheakleyville Cemetary, Mercer Co PA. The maiden name of Elizabeth is a brick wall for me. Today I found an entry in the LDS files that says that one Lemuel Clarke married a BETSEY or Elizabeth SMITH on Dec 7 1813 in Trumbull County, OH. Yes, I know I should be asking on the Trumbull County list...but the folks here are so very helpful on the Clark surname.
