Hi all, I'm flying in from Vegas in July for the sole purpose of finding immigration papers on my ancesters. I know that my g.g.grandparents lived in Mercer Co. for 5 years, but it was after they had been in the states for 4 years before they moved there. I have a few questions. Is there a 'best' day to visit the courthouse? I am armed with their names, year of arrival to US, children's names, etc. With this much info, will I be able to acquire the info from the courthouse in one day's time? Is there any information or papers I should be carrying when I arrive at the courthouse (do I need a certain document, etc) How many hours can be estimated to achieve this (I only plan on being in town for 4 hours. Do I need plan for more?) Thanks for any help
If the papers you want can be found in a short time, they could probably be requested by mail.
