We drove through there this past weekend on our way to Sharon to look up old city directories at the Sharon Library, where the kind ladies of the Mercer Genealogy Society had the books out for me when I got there. My wife & I were attending our 55th high school reunion in New Castle and enjoyed the PA scenery, the tree colors, the hills, the Amish countryside and their buggies along the back roads, etc. Can't find that in too many places here in flat Indiana. Don
There are two Bethels that I know of: one is in Venango Co. and the other is in Crawford Co. ... Both are in northwestern Pa. My older sister lives in one and several of my family is buried at the other one. And... both are just hamlets. There is also a Bethel in Hickory Township (now Hermitage), Mercer County, PA - it's located halfway between W. Middlesex and Mercer. I live here/there.
