His parents were John and Margaret Davidson. They had a son, John, born Mar 10, 1810 in Center Cty, Pa. He died April 26, 1896 in Sharon, Pa. John married Margaret Jane Sloss, b. Ireland, died Mercer, Pa. Their daughter Ella (Eleanor) Davidson, born Jan 28, 1857 in Sharon, Pa. married my grandfather,Atty Eugene Pierce Gillespie Sept 24, 1882 (died Dec. 17, 1899) who was a Congressman 1891-93. They lived on South Mercer St. in Greenville, Pa. and had four children. She died Jan 10, 1907. I'm seeking info on the Irish parents of Margaret Jane Sloss - anyone know of this line ? Am also seeking the name of Wm Davidson's wife - it starts with a D but the rest is unreadable. Any info would be appreciated, esp. family legends - they make these people really live !
