I see a couple of you are making headway on the Clarks. Can either of you make a connection with my Margaret Jane Clark, B. 1828 to a Mr. Clark (maybe Lemuel?? no proof on that) and Elizabeth, b. about 1793, maybe in Ireland. Margaret Jane Clark was the second wife of John McWhirter, b. 1809 in Derry, Ireland. Margaret died 7 days after giving birth to her second child Margaret Jane McWhirter, in 1850. I'm descended from her first child, a son Robert Clark McWhirter. I'm pretty sure that Elizabeth Clark was living in Sandy Spring Twp in 1850 and 60, but I could be wrong there, too.
