I don't have William Caldwell. I do have a marriage to Thomas Dumars before 1810. 20Th Century History of New Castle & Lawrence County, Pennsylvania. 1908, p408. Robert Richford Roberts Fisher was named for his maternal uncle, Bishop Robert Richford Roberts who was one of the seven bishops of the Methodist Episcopal Church at the time. Bob

    3. Hi again.... Here is what I have in my FTM "notes" page for Sarah.: "B. 5 June, 1767 Maryland. Died 20 December 1845 Mercer Cty. Sarah had the responsibility of caring for the home of her father. His land was located about one half mile north of Leeches Corners. this property was hers after her father's death (Will of RMR), She married a Mr Caldwell. A deed recorded at Mercer states....William and Sarah (Roberts) Caldwell sold land about 1838, 19 acres to Arron Riley, land located Rileys Corners Sugar Grove Twp. History of Mercer Co 1876 states William Caldwell in the year 1806 came from Sugar Grove Township to Delaware Township and bought a farm. This farm was occupied by his son, Samuel, who lives there (1876). The Land Warrant for the Robert Morgan Roberts property was issued to Sarah Roberts in 1804. (Date when last payment was made?)" So it would seem that she was married to Caldwell in 1838, eh? Perhaps this son, Samuel Caldwell, was by a previous marriage????? I have James Dumars m. to Sophia Roberts and they had a son, Thomas Dumars, who drowned in the Allegheny river when he was about 9. This Dumars family moved to Pittsburgh or Sewickley, and both taught school. I believe when they moved from Mercer Co., they took two of Elizabeth Roberts Lindsay's daughters with them afther Elizabeth died. Rebecca (my ancestor, who m. James Mann) and Nancy, who m. Nicholas Way. Do you have that info? Some of it came from the VanDusen book on RMR descendents. The only "Fisher" I have is Ethel Fisher, who m. a Babcock whose Mother was a Chess. A desc. of Thomas Roberts, bro. to Elizabeth, and RRR, etc. Very complicated!! Marcia Mann Duggins > > > > > > Hi Marcia, > Yes, Sarah was the daughter of Robert Morgan Roberts.
