My "Family legend" is: "Thomas Clark came west from NJ with millstones originiating in France and by ship to NJ. .... founded Grist mill in Clark's Mills , PA, ... Clarks intermarried with Turners, and Turners with Bells. " My father, Raymond Bell inherited three of the millstones and had them moved when the mill was torn down. An attorney wrote to him in the early 1940's, saying he (Raymond) was the surviving heir and did he want the stones. I know where the millstones are. I am Raymond's daughter. The Turner-Bell connection is my GGParents, JOHN ELMER BELL and EMMA SUSANNA TURNER, married Mercer Co, PA Pg. 726 (Mercer Co. Courthouse). Emma's parents were ALEXANDER TURNER and LOUISA EMILY POWELL (who signed for Emma, a minor, to marry.) Now seeking connection ALEXANDER TURNER with ELSNEY TURNER, wife of GILES CLARK.
