Surnames: Stanley/Standley; Linn; Hillock; Hazen; Wood Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ldB.2ACI/2623 Message Board Post: I am looking for elusive information on the marriages of my gggrandmother Zelinda Hazen and of her daughter, Hattie Wood from Perry Twp, Mercer Co., PA. Zelinda Hazen was born in PA in 1833 and married an (?Enoch?) Wood. She was apparently widowed before 1860 when she appears in the census back in her father's (Lemuel Hazen) household along with a daughter listed as Parenthe Wood, age 7. In all other information about the girl, including the 1870 census where mother and daughter are living a few households away from Lemuel, she goes by the name Hattie. Hattie (b. 1853, Mercer Co) apparently married a Baldwin and had one son before following her mother to Minnesota. No husband is referenced as widowed or divorced in any records I have, including her obituary. This son, Ben, immediately takes on the Linn surname of the second husband. He lived and died with that name in all censuses and death certificate -- never married and no children. I'm looking for any record on the two marriages, presumably both in western PA: Zelinda Hazen to ? Wood about 1851, and Perenthe/Hattie Wood to ? Baldwin about 1872 Any help would be appreciated.
