Here are three "in-line" obituaries. I am interested in all those who are descendants of these GERBERs. GERBER. On the 8th of Jan. 1891, near Walnut Creek, Holmes Co., O., Jacob Gerber, aged 68 years, 10 months and 12 days. He was born Feb. 26th, 1822, married Rose Kuhns, by whom he had 4 children one died in infancy. She died Sept., 10th, 1858. His second wife was Rachel Hattery, whom he married April 9th, 1865, and with whom he had 5 children. He was a member of the Amish Mennonite church. Services at the Walnut Creek church by E. Mast and Nobertius Sproll, of Miami Co., Ind., from Heb. 9: 27. GERBER - Jacob, son of Jacob and Rachel Gerber, was born in Holmes Co., Ohio, Nov. 7, 1874; departed this life at his home near Neshannock Falls, Lawrence Co., Pa., Aug. 27, 1945, following an extended illness; aged 70y. 9 m. 20 d. Surviving are his widow (Fannie Moose Gerber), 7 children (Frank, at home; Mrs. Clarence Richeal, New Castle, Pa.; Mrs. Jacob Conrad, Wooster, Ohio; Elton, Volant, Pa.; Mervin, Orrville, Ohio; Mrs. Harold Miller, New Castle, Pa.; and Geneva, at home), 25 grandchildren, and one great-grandson. He was a member of the Maple Grove Mennonite Church near New Wilmington, Pa. Funeral services were conducted at the home by R. D. Kauffman and at the church by E. J. Zook and David Steiner. Text, Heb. 9:27. Interment was made in the church cemetery GERBER, Mervin L., son of Jacob and Fanny (Moose) Gerber, was born at Mercer, Pa., Apr. 5, 1906; died of a heart attack at Orrville, Ohio, Feb. 5, 1973; aged 66 y. 10 m. On Jan. 12, 1928, he was married to Laura Troyer, who survives. Also surviving are 4 sons (Myron, Thurman, Leonard, and Garry), 3 daughters (Pearl, June, and Elsie), 18 grandchildren, on brother (Frank), and 3 sisters (Geneva, Mrs. Melva Miller, and Mrs. Mary Thelken). He was a member of the Orrville Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Feb. 9, in charge of J. Lester Graybill; interment in the Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Madisonburg. We've got a Sarah Garber(Gerber?) born +/- 1920, somewhere in Pa, Married Wm Buchanan Love Sr before 1841, died +/- 1870, who knows where, buried in Shenango U.P. Church, Neshannock Twp, Lawrence(formerly Mercer) Co Pa. Children James, Mary, John, Wm Jr, Susan, Eleanora, Emma. Do you think we have a relationship?
