First--it was the "Seceder Cemetery" (referring to a branch of the Presbyterian Church--Seceders-- which fell into disuse, and remaining graves were later moved to Shenango Valley Cemetery--both are in the borough of Greenville. .. Second: there are Linns and Williamsons buried in the "Old Salem Church", on PA Route 58 , just south of Greenville, very near the line between Delaware and Hempfield Twp., Mercer County. The cemetery is sometimes called Bigler Cemetery, for Jacob and Susan Bigler, parents of two governors are buried there. Have you looked at the maps and Cemetery information on the Rootsweb Mercer County site? Address should appear below.
Evelyn Thank you so much for the information. This is what I have been looking for. James Linn was in the War of 1812, and on the Mercer site listed under War Heros he was listed as being buried in Bigler Cemetery. Now things seem to make a little more sense. I think I may have a handle on this (not a GRIP). Knowing where the cemetery is located is a big help. I am trying the talk my Dad (who is 85 years) into taking a trip back to Greenville. That cemetery would be first on our list of stops. Thanks again. You're welcome. The Biglers are my family; so our ancestors must have been friends and neighbors. Evelyn
