This is a wonderful project that the Mercer County Genealogical Society has taken on and I, for one, truly appreciate all the obituaries they have taken the time to upload to the computer that is available at the Sharon library. I've made three trips from Iowa to Mercer County solely for the purpose of researching my family history and each time I make sure I arrange my trip so that I can visit the Sharon Library when the Society members are there on Tuesdays. Those obituaries are the key that unlocks so many doors for us trying to find out more about our ancestors. Mercer County in particular had so many early day residents and there is so much history there to be preserved. Thanks for all you do and for working to preserve our all important family obituaries.
