Hi Teri, I've just resubscribed to the list after being off for a couple of years. I checked the archives, but am not too sure whether you called for a roll call or whether some of the members just thought you had seeing as the topic arose in a query? When I searched for "roll and call" I got 21 hits for this month, but none for 2004? thanks for the wonderful work you do for those of us searching Mercer families. Her first marriage was to Michael Higgins in 1887. Mr. Higgins died about a year later. Anna's second marriage was to Moses Mook and according to her brothers 1914 obit she lived in New Lebanon, PA. The 1920 census for New Lebanon shows a household for "Moses A. Mook" and includes Anna and a grandson by the surname "Stambrook." The 1930 census for New Lebanon shows an "Allen M. Mook" and his wife "Annie M." A 16 year old granddaughter, Kathleen Stambrook is also in the home. A short obit for Anna Mook appeared in the Venango Citizens Presss 1 Aug 1934. It states she was survived by husband Moses and daughter Mrs. Grace McGill of San Marino, CA. My questions are: 1. What was "Moses" real name? 2. What was his birth & death dates? 3. Where are Anna and Moses buried? 4. Who are the "Stambrook" grandchildren" 5. Can you tell me anything about their daughter Grace McGill and her family?

I am researching the descendants of 3 sisters and a brother, all of whom immigrated from Ireland to Mercer County in the 1820s. Descendants of them all still live in the county. The couples were: Jane and James Boyd Sarah and George Forbes George and Mary Haggertie (one of their daughters married her first cousin John Haggerty) Amelia and George Webb All but Mary Haggertie were sisters of George Haggertie. I believe there were other Boyds who were related to James, as was Tamsin (Tamazine) Waugh, wife of Isaac Waugh (she was a sister of James Boyd). I am also interested in Mercer siblings of any of the spouses. These families came from an area within a triangle formed between Dunmanway, Ballineen and Clonakilty in County Cork, west of Cork city. My records on these four couples and their descendants are posted to world connect: http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/~sharonmh I would be interested in sharing data on any of these families. Thanks very much Sharon Haggerty London, ON Canada
