Henry's father was Peter Urey, mother Margaret Richael, both buried at Blacktons. I have the family back to the boat and one, almost two generations in France. David Leyda married Jane Reed. I've not done any research on the Reed family, and the Leyda family has already been done. If I can help you on the Urey's, or perhaps you can help me. Dear Rebecca Ahern, Thanks so much for writing. What 30s & 40s are you talking about? 1730/40 1830/40 or 1930/40? Most of the connected Clark's I have in my database are from Butler and Clearfield Counties, PA and many may still be alive. I have contact with a living Clark researcher who might be able to assist you. If you are interested please drop me an e-mail. Some of the Uber related Thompson's could well still be alive. I do not have a Samuel Thompson in my database. I show a Joseph Ebenezer Thompson abt 1818 married bef 1854 to Mary Heasley 12 Jul 1820 - 11 Mar 1918 the daughter of Daniel Heasley (11 Jul 1779 - 31 Dec 1849 Lawrence Co, PA) & Anna Maria 'Mary' Uber (21 Dec 1783 Westmoreland Co, PA - 1 Jan 1871) Heasley, Sr. (I believe Mary Heasley was possibly the widow Mrs. Joseph Gundy) . I don't show any children by either of Mary's marriages in my database. However I do see an Ebenezer Thompson 44 M farmer with his wife, Mary 40 F house wife in the 1860 census as follows. THOMPSON EBENEZER 44 M W PA PA MERCER W LACKAWANNOCK TWP 1860 Series: M653 Roll: 1140 Page: 819 This census shows 4 children living with this couple. Whether this could be John Ebenezer & Mary Heasley Thompson - I don't know. Hope we can exchange information. Also please send your telephone number and mailing address. Thanks for your interest. Thanks in advance (TIA) for any information you would care to share. Dear Joyce Sager Servey, Yes, I have Barbara Saegar abt 1820/1 who married Michael A. Uber abt 1811/2 I show that they had 7 children and I have some descendants for 2 of their children. It would be great to know who Barbara's siblings, parents and ancestors were and anything else you can tell me. I also have a Sager (possibly living who married a Loughner also possibly living.) They had 2 children. Thanks so much for writing. It sounds as if many of the same families would/could be of interest to both of us. Would you please send me your direct line descendancy from any and/or all of the families you mention? I am looking for any families from the area of former Yugoslavia that are of Rusyn descent. Many of these families settled in the Sharon/Farrell ares. At times these families may have called there language "Slavish", and would have been Greek Catholic. Slavish is this use is an old "slang" term form Ruthenian/Rusinski.(A language closely related to Ukrainian and Slovak.) At times they would have also been called "Yugoslav Russian". Some towns of origin would have been Ruski Kerestur, Kucura, Sid, Miklosevc, Sot, Bacinci, Kula. (Not all are listed here). I have some unsigned post cards from 1947 Farrell. These say things like "Dear Aunt, my father is still in the hospital, the doctors say he will heal, but I have been let go home, I will right again soon". No name, no return address. I am assuming the family most have been in some accident. Some of my family names are Hromis, Mudri, Lasko, Mitrov..etc These families would also have had ties to Barberton, Ohio, Dayton, Ohio and Detroit. Thanks Paul Powers

Hi all, I'm looking for the burial place of my grandmother. Her name was Alma Rosselot, married to Bernard Rosselot (possibly buried next to her). She died in December 1968. She had lived in Sharon, but from what I remember, she was buried just outside Sharon someplace - maybe Hermitage? All I remember is that after the funeral, we stopped at a nearby Perkins Pancake restaurant! Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Dave Rader Kent, OH
This sounds like Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery on East State Street very near the Hermitage-Sharon line. My mother and grandparents are buried there. There is a Perkins Pancake restaurant just a very short distance from there. Hi. I am new to this particular list so bear with me please. I am searching for the name SPAFFORD. Betsy Ann SPAFFORD married Chester ROCKWELL in Ashtabula County OH, altho no records have been located. These are my great-great-grandparents. This is how the family story/paperwork goes: Betsy Ann Spafford was born 4 May 1829 in ?, Pennsylvania. Possibly Crawford, Erie or Mercer County?) No parents known. When she was just a child she was left with the David and Polly ROCKWELL family for the day. The Rockwell family raised her. On 7 March 1844 she married Chester Marion Rockwell in Ashtabula Co, OH. Chester was born 30 April 1824 in Ashtabula OH, died 20 Sept 1903, Waynesville, Pulaski Co, MO. Betsy Ann Spafford Rockwell died 19 August 1901 at Waynesville, Pulaski Co, MO. Both are buried at the Rockwell Cemetery, now on Fort Leonard Army Post property in Pulaski County, MO. I have been there several times, have photos, etc. I am looking for any information on Betsy or her parents and any siblings. Thank you for any help. Peggy Rockwell Gleich
