    1. [PAMERCER-L] site access
    2. I have the same problem trying to connect to the Mercer Co. site. I've not had this problem before and I have used this site for a couple years??? Donna

    1. [PAMERCER-L] YEAH! I'm Back To Web Site
    2. To Everyone, Thanks for all the help and leads. It was an AOL problem. Probably ME! After a day and 1/2 talking with AOL Techs., problem I think fixed and made it to your web site without any problems. To others with problem, I had to purge my cache and since my AOL adapter disappeared, I had to reload and over ride my 4.0 version. I just love being able to get back on one of my favorites sites. Sharon in northern CA

    1. [PAMERCER-L] SITE ACCESS
    2. have been on AOL forever and have not had any problems getting to the site. I had version 4.0 and just upgraded to 5.0. Both work great. If anybody is having trouble you might try closing down all our programs, running your SCAN DISC with fix errors automatically checked. After that purge your temp Internet caches and than run a defrag. Restart your computer and try going to the site. Best regards, Walt

    1. Re: [PAMERCER-L] Mercer County Gen. Site
    2. Well, I'm going to wait to try the site. It appears that the problems are only with aol users (not the users, but some glitch in aol) - and since I'm aol, I'll wait until I hear it is clear sailing from here. Good luck all! Kathy

    2. Susan Elliott
    3. Hi List, Can someone tell me what dates birth, death and marriage records are available for at the county office (before they were centralized in the state at New Castle, I think around 1906)? Also, what is the cost? I'm trying to do as much by mail as I can. Any hints appreciated. On another note, I'm having no trouble getting through the new Mercer County site. It really is turning out to be a great site. Sue __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Bid and sell for free at http://auctions.yahoo.com

    1. [PAMERCER-L] New stuff at Mercer County Genealogy
    2. More good things are happening at Mercer County Genealogy! Check out our site at www.rootsweb.com/~pamercer. Thanks to John MacDonald (macillus@bcn.net) we have the first installment of the 1870 census for Mercer County! Good work John! Online now are the censuses for Cool Spring, Delaware, Deer Creek, E. Lackawannock, Findley, Fairview, Green, Hemphill, and Hickory Townships and the Boroughs of Mercer, Greenville and Jamestown. Also, John has included a Every name index of each township (or borough) census. Check them out! Also..... new....Mercer County Old Photos. Thank you to those who sent in photos. There here! We've got 35 photos and more to add. If you have photos you've been meaning to send, and haven't - - don't worry, you still have time to go through your shoe boxes and albums, we'll be updating the photo gallery every week for a while. Also, Brent Morgan sent in a great photo of the Mercer County Courthouse. Be sure you check it out on the County Information page. The information for the Mercer County Genealogical Society is updated, including their holdings, membership information and publication list. That's it. I'm working away collecting military information. Hope to have a least a portion of the information on the site in the near future. If you have any ideas, suggestions or material you'd like to see the Mercer County Genealogy site, please e-mail me. Teri Mercer County Coordinator
